Special Rain Tracker Installation Notes for this vehicle:

RAIN TRACKER OPERATION
To use the Rain Tracker, place the existing wiper control in intermittent
mode, and turn on the activation switch.

WIRE CONNECTIONS
GM sometimes reverses the gray and green wires coming from the switch. They
then switch positions after the connector coming from the switch.

Some vehicles may have the MUX as BRN, RED, RED/WHT or ORN and
SLOW as BRN, GRY or LT-BLU check with a multimeter.

You may use a single 6800 ohm resistor in place of the series-connected
resistor shown. No resistor value shown is critical-- any reasonably
close value will work.

Use the instructions included in the Rain Tracker kit until you get to step 5a. "Make the interface
connections." At that point, use these instrctions along with the diagram that can be printed above.
Return to the general instructions when the interface connections has been completed.

Some models and years may vary slightly in wire colors. Confirm wire colors with service
guide, and/or with with a multimeter.

All wiper system wires, except ground, are available at the wiper switch. They
can usually be accessed by removing one or two access panels (Kick Panels) and,
possibly, the shrouds surrounding the steering column.

FIND CHASSIS GROUND
Find a suitable screw or bolt on the metal chassis of the vehicle to use as the
Rain Tracker ground. Scrape away paint as needed for a good connection.
Use a multi-meter to verify that the ground connection is at most a few ohms.
The cigarette lighter can also be a good alternate for ground and/or power.

ALTERNATIVE INSTALLATION
If the installation seems too difficult and you do not want to install the
Rain Tracker as shown on the diagram, you can use the STANDARD - GM PMDP Wiper System
diagram. Omit the external realays and FAST connection. The RT-40A would be a better
choice as the FAST connections have already been omitted.
