These instructions apply to these vehicles, which all have similar wiper systems:

Wiring Diagrams and Drawings:

2000 Saab 9-5- Drawing applies to all application vehicles listed above. Print this.
RT-40A - HSS (Hot Side Switching)- Included with product, so print only if needed.
Troubleshooting procedure- Print out if needed.

Wire colors used in this vehicle:

+12V - PPL
GROUND - BLK
FAST - GRN/YEL
SLOW - GRN/WHT

Special Rain Tracker Installation Notes for this vehicle:

Write the wire colors of the vehicle on the HSS drawing, and follow that
when you wire up the Rain Tracker. Use the factory drawing as a reference
to help you find the wires. Some models and years may vary slightly in wire colors.
Factory drawings can be wrong, so, confirm wire colors with a multimeter.

All wiper system wires are available at the wiper switch. They can usually be accessed
by removing one or two access panels (Kick Panels) and, possibly, the shrouds surrounding the
steering column.

WIRE CONNECTIONS
some years, FAST - YEL/GRN. On the 07, FAST - WHT, SLOW - YEL/BRN
and +12V - BRN. This may also be the case for the 06.

FACTORY RAIN SENSOR
Some models came with a factory rain sensor. The Rain Tracker CAN'T
replace the factory rain sensing system.

The RT-40A does not utilize the FAST windings of the wiper motor. Please disregard any references
to FAST that appear in these instructions.
